This is an excellent place to stay. The room was fabulous - full of character, spacious and clean. The staff were wonderful - they were thoughtful to our needs; they even transported us to our next hotel in Penang. The breakfast was extremely generous.
Location - it is a bit too far from the city centre, however the Mango Tree did provide free transport into the centre in the morning

The design of the rooms, the friendly staff
The location. It is a 20 - 25 minute walk to the city center. In the heat this is a bit too much, However, the taxis are cheap, so you can use them.

Wei, the suitekeeper is a great host, making every effort to ensure that our stay was comfortable. Rooms are really clean, comfortable and very charming. Breakfast which consists a variety of local snacks is also very good and something we look forward to daily. Would definitely be back.

Loved everything. The bathroom was ridiculously awesome and I never wanted to leave the room because it was so pretty. My boyfriend even wants a house just like it. Breakfast was awesome as well. Overall, lovely lovely stay.

Lovely people, great place to stay, very nice room & bathroom, great local breakfast.
The only minor thing is its location: quite near to a busy street, so light sleepers might hear a fair bit of noise during the night.

Nice hotel to stay especially for family or couple. We enjoyed the facilities and also easy to get nice food within walking distance! There was a shortage of electricity however its manageable within an hour. Thank you for the warmest gesture from Mark and Jin (who brought us nice local breakfast)!
A bit price for local people to stay.

Really nice accomodation for tired travellers :) We had big appartment with our own yard full of plants. Spacious outside bathroom. Staff was really great and helpful and they prepared so big and good breakfast thet we didn´t even need lunch.
The location is little bit far away from the city centre, but is ok to walk there (15 mins). The bed was really short, even for me and I´m the smaller in our couple (175 cm).
